Reclaiming Digital Sovereignty

This session will discuss the dominant web2 paradigm, and some of the specific ways it has developed that lead to the walled garden phenomenon. It'll talk about incumbency and then we go into private keys, key management, PKI, and ways of representing identity. What constitutes authority over one’s own identity? What about one's data? Is it possible to use online services without siloing data within their service?
